WRRA MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

Membership of the Water Resources Retirees' Association is open to current and retired employees, and their spouses, of Queensland Government water resources agencies.

Eligible agencies include the former Irrigation and Water Supply Commission and Water Resources Commission, the current SunWater Corporation and Department of Environment and Resource Management, the predecessors and successors of these organisations, and any other organisation considered elegible by the Management Committee.

Spouses of deceased employees of eligible organisations are encouraged to remain or become members of the Association.

Membership comprises five categories

• honorary life members, who have been awarded the honour for outstanding service to the Association,
• fully paid up members, who have attained the age of 75 years and make application for this class of membership,
• spouse members, who are/were partners of persons who are/were employed in eligible agencies,
• country members, who live more than 100km from the Brisbane GPO, and
• ordinary members, who live within 100km of the Brisbane GPO.

Annual subscriptions are a modest $5 for ordinary members, $2.50 for country members, and free for fully paid up, spouse, and honorary life members.
